Cole Hamels Bobble Head

It was a surprise when the gate attendant handed me two Cole Hamels bobble heads upon entering Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies didn't promote this giveaway, so it was completely out of left field. From interactions on Twitter and Facebook, I found that most gates were only handing them out to fans 14 years and younger. Guess I was lucky on this one...

The nine-card set has become a Fan Appreciation Day standard over the past few years. Highlights were (kinda) hard to come by this season, but they managed to squeeze out a few memorable plays/moments along the way. Here is the card listing:

This has long been one of my least favorite annual promotions. Yes, it's a necessity - and a decent tool for marketing next seasons schedule - but, still it's pretty boring. Bonus with this year's offering is that the outer edge can be separated from the schedule to create a magnetic frame...now, that's something we could (maybe) use...
