Yo, bobble fans! With apathy running rampant across the Phillies fan base, the team's marketing and promotions staff is back to earning their keep. In recent weeks we have seen a couple new SGAs and "theme nights" added to the promotional calendar - including one I noticed earlier this week: The return of "Stitch N Pitch"...
To be fair, this seems to be nation-wide event - with The National NeedleArts Association advertising similar promotions at several Major League ballparks this Summer. Phillies collectors (who also knit) will remember "Stitch N Pitch" was last celebrated at Citizens Bank Park in 2010. The knitting Phanatic bobble head that was handed out to attendees has proven to be a rare, and highly sought collectible. One recent eBay auction ended with a final bid of $230!
From the small picture on Phillies.com, it seems like the 1,000 to be given out August 6th will be similar to the 2010 version. I bought my tickets - don't miss your chance to get them, too...

UPDATE:
I received my tickets yesterday, with the voucher for a bobble head. They will be available at the stand behind sections 233-237. Special instructions note "there is a limit of one item per coupon" and "attendees must be present in order to pick up the item."
