Just about anything Phillis related! The odder/rarer the better!
When did you start collecting?
I grew up with a family of Phillies fans/collectors so I've been slowly accumulating for most of my life. I really stepped it up right after college when I bought a house and actually had somewhere to put everything!
Favorite item in your collection is...
I'm probably most proud of my Phillies bobblehead collection. At last count, I have a little over 100 of them including a few that are hard to chase down. I can't imagine there are that many of us out there who have the full set of "Phanatic of the Month" bobbles either!
Interesting collecting encounter:
Years ago, when I was about 10 years old and at a card show with my cousin... We had a feeling we were late for a meet up with our parents and knew we would get in trouble if late. We looked around for the first person with a watch we could find and there stood a 6'+ 250lb guy with a giant time piece on his wrist. "Excuse me sir, Do you have the time?" He responded and we walked away. An hour later while waiting in line with our parents to meet the guest signer, we come to realize that the guy we asked for the time was none other than Bob Horner. I had the opportunity to ask a former Rookie of the Year any question I wanted, and I asked him for the time...
