When did you start collecting?

I've always collected autographs for as long as I can remember. From a young age I loved going to the Phillies Phestival at the Vet when it was still an all day event.  I remember waiting two hours to meet (Darren) Daulton, (Len) Dykstra and (Curt) Schilling. I even met Whitey once before he passed and that is still one of my most treasured encounters with a Phillie.

I started to focus my collection on Phillies game-used items around 2010. I started, and like many quickly became addicted to it - and have spent more money than I care to admit...haha. It's worth it though. I've made a couple extremely tight friendships from collecting and I actually talk to them almost daily.

What do you collect?

What is your favorite piece in your collection?

It's hard to narrow 20 years of collecting down to a single favorite item. I have a couple favorites:

Shane Victorino game-used cleats

Shane Victorino game-used cleats

  • Darren Daulton's game used powder blue zip up 1986 rookie season jersey & his 1993 game use home jersey. Both are signed.
  • Mike Schmidt 1982 game used Adirondack "red ring" bat.
  • Jimmy Rollins actual game used bat which is MLB Authenticated to game 3 of the 2009 World Series and broken by a Mariano Rivera cutter. It has also been photomatched to his 2009 NLCS walk off against the Dodgers.
  • Roy Halladay's game used cap from the 2010 turn back the clock Civil Rights game when they wore the Philadelphia Stars uniforms.
  • Chase Utleys game used/issued cap from the 2009 World Series.
  • Ryan Howard's game used and signed 2009 All-Star Game warm-up jersey which is MLB Authenticated.
  • A bat from each player of the 2008 Phillies World Series starting line up (Hamels, Utley, Howard, Rollins, Burrell, Werth, Victorino, Feliz and Chooch).
