2014 Topps Turkey Red
Missing out on the initial online sale last month, I finally got around to picking up the Phillies, 2014 Topps Turkey Red base cards over the weekend. After seeing them on eBay the past few weeks, I seriously considered sitting out this year - but was drawn in after coming across them at Philly Show.
Having been a fan of the Turkey Red product over the years, I was pretty disappointed in this year's offering. The filtering they used is really odd - like all the ink didn't transfer over properly. And, as was noted in the thorough set review at 14k Phillies Cards, whatever they applied to the pictures colored in the hole in the Phillies "P" in a way that you can't ignore - even if you try.
