1967 Playoff Bowl Program: Eagles-Colts

What is it?

A program from the 1967 Playoff Bowl Game (following the 1966 NFL season).

Where does it come from?

The Playoff Bowl was a consolation game between the second-place finishers for each of the NFL's two divisions following the 1960-1969 regular seasons.  Each year, except the last, the game was played the week after the NFL Championship Game (or later, The Super Bowl) at The Orange Bowl in Miami, FL.

The game had several monikers over the years - originally named after Eagles co-founder and former NFL Commissioner, Bert Bell.  The cover of the 1967 game calls it, "The Pro Playoff Classic."  While the Eagles played the game close, leading 14-13 late in the 4th Quarter, a late drive by the Colts prompted by Jerry Logan's interception of a King Hill pass resulted in a 21 - 14 Baltimore win.

What's it worth?

It is not uncommon to see programs from this game cycle through on eBay.  When available, you could expect to pay between $10-20.
