The Phillies have dubbed this coming weekend's series with the Chicago Cubs as "1960s Retro Weekend", complete with appearances by former players, autograph sessions and the first opportunity to get your hands on the Chase Utley bobble head variant.  Below is a breakdown of each day's happenings:

Friday - 60s Retro Night

The Phillies and Cubs will be wearing throwback uniforms - donning the designs worn in 1964.  Back for the weekend are a trio of 1964 Phillies: Dick Allen, Cookie Rojas and John Herrnstein.  They will be throwing out the first pitch(es) before the game.  Collecting highlights are:

  • 2014 Phillies Yearbooks will be $1 for the entire game
  • For the first time, the 1960s Chase Utley bobble head variant will be available (for free) with the purchase of a 1960s Phillies logo t-shirt and hat.

Saturday - CBP Saturdays

Continuing the CBP Saturdays promotion, the Phils will welcome back reliever Scott Eyre, a member of both the 2008 World Series team, and the 2009 NL Championship team.  Eyre will be signing autographs pre-game.

Sunday - Father's Day, Tribute to Jim Bunning

The Phillies will honor Hall of Famer Jim Bunning - recognizing the 50th year anniversary of his Perfect Game (6/21/64).  Once again his former teammates, Allen, Rojas and Herrnstein, will be on hand for the ceremony.  The current day Phillies will again wear their 1964 Phillies throwback uniforms.
