Phillies Add 1915 TBTC to Promo Calendar
Last week the Phillies added a new promotion to the Opening Week calendar. It will honor the 100th Anniversary of the 1915 World Series.
On Thursday, April 9th the Phils will meet the Boston Red Sox - their opponent in the 1915 World Series. To mark the occasion, the team will have a pre-game ceremony featuring a Woodrow Wilson impersonator throwing out the first pitch (as the real President did 100 years ago), and both teams will wear 1915-style hats. Also, the first 500 fans who purchase tickets to an associated theme night will receive a blue replica 1915 National League Championship Pennant. This promotion should be familiar to fans - the team has previously used them to honor the 2007-11 and 1993 teams.
